Hello - It has been awhile since I blogged over on Muzzle The Pig due to the silly amount of work I've given myself to do with a certain feature film The Criminal Audition (@CrimAudition). However, I'm not going to spend this blog post waffling on about the highs and lows of that project so far, as we plan to do that in a lovely retrospective manner later from our new base in LA, sat among an award laden room. What I am going to mention is the numerous shows Rich and I have coming up and how you can get to them and how you can buy us a pint afterwards. So without further ado - confirmed so far.... The Pig Rises

It's time. Since the start of the year I've locked myself away in my room (intermittently, I'm not a psycho), slowly working out a script for a feature film. It's ambitious, but if we weren't doing something ambitious then why would people be interested? Ultimately, it's achievable and ambitious - it's achievatious. Yes, great start. Over the last few years Muzzle The Pig has been slowly eking out some kind of puss-filled secretion that apparently has comedy somewhere within it's ooze. We've now done a couple of fringe plays, a slew of sketches - with different comic tones, and of course our ongoing...

This Doesn’t Look Like A Blog Post

Long time, no oink. After the social we've had a quiet moment to reflect on the several projects we're lining up to do. Once again, thanks to everyone who popped along to the social last month, it was really good to meet up with everyone and I will strive to do my best to get you all involved in some capacity its just a bit difficult as film making is so unpredictable and problematic, especially at this level. So what's new in the Muzzle The Pig World? Quite a lot, thanks for asking. Firstly, our bombastic web series, All In The Method will have a third episode online very soon. The episode...

The Pig Meat

Episode 3

With the release of our second web episode adding to our small set of plays, sketches and web series episodes we've made it was only a matter of a time before the pig got more greedy. So the propaganda flyers were sent out calling for a meeting where new plans would be laid out to take new territory.  Enough of the war metaphor - so Muzzle The Pig hosted our first social evening. It was a good night and as expected with these things, my phone rattled away in my pocket with people apologizing for not be able to make it at the last minute. I'd be a right hypocrite if I complained about those...

A Halfway House Comes Full Circle

Mercer (James Butler) and Ron (Rich Keeble) discuss Mercer's sex addiction

So my little experiment is over. The sketch/play amalgamation has come to an end after 6 nights of frantic action. To say this was more stressful than last year's A Criminal Audition would be an understatement. Or a dirty lie. Though we did get a 4 star review so - http://www.remotegoat.co.uk/review_view.php?uid=8693 Mercer (James Butler) and Ron (Rich Keeble) discuss Mercer's sex addiction When I began scripting A Halfway House I knew I was setting myself a very different kind of challenge. The play, that takes place in a run down warehouse, sees the action consistently change back...

Under New Management

IMAGE-FOR-WEBSITE-3colored

First things first, I'm delighted to announce that I'm now represented by Keylock Management - Mark and Jan have been really warm and welcoming! I'll also be doing a proper spring clean on the website soon, as I want to tidy things up and make it how I originally wanted it. Apart from that we wrapped on So Haunted on Sunday afternoon. Shoots don't get more luxurious then this, with crew and cast gathered outside an exotic cafe in Staines. The reason we were clustered outside was because the owner had 'forgotten' to open up for us. A hour later and he turned up, but not before one of the crew...

The Cat’s Out Of The Bag….

First off, if you haven't already done so, go check out my new freelance article, it's a review of Modern Warfare 3 for the Xbox 360 - Link. I begin the review by doing what people who are trying to be clever do, throw in a quote. For a week or so now I've felt like I've been moving in a swimming pool full of melted fudge, making the kind of progress that is equivalent to what an episode of 'Changing Rooms' would be like if run by Axl Rose.  But for all that nonsense there has actually been progress. My new sketch show,  'A Halfway House' is slowly but surely coming together and I'll be putting...

This week was a bit of an odd week where I've felt like I've been quite busy but don't seem to have much to show for it, now I know what it's like to be a scientist trying to cure cancer. Exactly like that. One thing I didn't tend to was my computer that is currently festering with dust. Its insides look like the foam of a cushion, I'm praying the hard drive still has room to breath in there. Tomorrow I'll be getting all that dust and saying bye-the-bye to it. Lots of little updates in this blog post - so I thought I would throw out some sub-headings, snazzy. Halfway House Unless you've been...

A Few New Roles

IMAGE FOR WEBSITE 3

So I recently joined a couple of film makers in putting together an entry for the 48-hour London Film Project. I say 'putting together' but really I just turned up and did a small acting role before leaving, though you know...team effort and that. The link to the film, 'Probing The Soul' is clickable below. It's pretty impressive considering the time restraints they had and they also came only a few votes from winning the audience award. Probing The Soul
